Harriette Rose Katz founded Harriette Rose Katz Events/Gourmet Advisory Services, Inc. nearly three decades ago in 1978. What began as a solo practice has grown to a full time staff of six, and a part time team of fifteen. Harriette combined her passion of the culinary arts and her extensive global travel to form a company renowned in the New York Metropolitan Area. Under her guidance, her team brings in-depth knowledge, experience and joy to their work, and all take great pride in being part of an organization as prestigious as Gourmet Advisory Services and Liaison Unlimited.
Frequently quoted in leading magazines including Thee Robb Report, New york Times, Quest, New York Magazine and Modern Bride, Harriette and her expert staff have designed, created and managed thousands of events including the weddings of celebrities and the openings of luxury high rise office and residential buildings. She works within the same families, often for generations, planning a girl’s Bat Mitzvah, and years later, her wedding. This is a testament of the loyalty of her clients.
Harriette served for sixteen years as the President and Chief Operating Officer, New York Chapter of the Confrérie de la Chaine Des Rôtisseurs, one of the world’s most prestigious food and wine organizations, and is a recipient of the Chain’s Gold Start of Excellence. In addition, she is a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, L’Ordre Mondial des Gourmet Desgustateurs, The Wine and Food Society of New York and Fellow of the Culinary Institute of America.
